 BLOG

Start of something exciting....... This is going to be the 1st in a series of posts on a project we have been involved with since 2020

We are attending site in Knaresborough on Friday to assist with a LIDAR scan of a compact site with restricted access between existing buildings.

Pleased to be able to share video of latest lecture Steve was invited to give at City University, London on Engineering of Light Gauge Steel
Following fully remote working during the UK lockdown's we've now moved into dedicated office space at Conyngham Hall Business Centre in Knaresborough
We've designed multiple buildings like this over the years, but this is the first one here in the UK! This one is maintenace workshop for Recreational Vehicles (Camper Vans or Motor Homes as opposed to 4 x 4's!) and caravans.
We have generated hot state versions of all our in house calculations for light gauge steel negating the need for testing.

It's been quite a while getting to this stage, but we finally have images of our latest project with twenty more blocks to come! They feature walls not lining through with joists transferring loads in shear, balconies and lots of lovely architectural features Engineers come to fear!

Robotic assembly of Light Gauge Steel as seen at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Sheffield coupled with Automated Modelling from Vertex

Slightly left field, but wanted to share somewhere - how to extract images from office files and how perhaps these 'Modern Methods' aren't quite so 'modern' after all!
